Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all staying safe and well during this uncertain time. As we all venture through this unsettling period of history, HOBY South Dakota along with HOBY International are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation daily. Our highest priority is always the safety and health of our ambassadors and volunteers.

It is with a heavy heart the HOBY South Dakota Corporate Board, along with the Seminar Planning Committee, has made the decision to shift the 2020 HOBY South Dakota Seminar to an exclusively virtual event. While we recognize a virtual seminar is not what you or your student(s) expected when registering, we have worked to create a program that will provide an outstanding leadership development opportunity. HOBY South Dakota’s volunteers continue to work hard to provide the best seminar possible for our ambassadors.

To keep the seminar moving virtually, we will be reducing the time commitment from 4 days to just 2 days: Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6. More information about the platform and seminar will be available in the coming weeks.

We are still accepting registrations for the 2020 Seminar if you have not yet registered your students!

At this time, we would like to offer that for each student who has been registered before March 31, an additional student from your school may be registered at no additional cost. If you have registered an Alternate and would like for them to be able to attend as the school’s second representative, please email Joci Hansen at recruitment@hobysd.org with the student’s school and name.

We are continuing to work through many of the details of our virtual seminar and how HOBY South Dakota adapts to the ever changing outlook and future, including the answers to questions you may have. If you have specific questions, please feel free to submit them via our Questions Forum button below and we will get this information answered as quickly as possible.
