In celebration of the new year and new opportunities, the HOBY South Dakota Alumni Team is launching the Alumni Impact Campaign! Through this campaign, it is our goal to collect 500 donations from our Alumni, and friends of HOBY South Dakota so we can help strengthen HOBY SD’s programming, and further equip our next generations of local, state, and global leaders.
The Alumni Impact Campaign has a rather broad mission; to empower HOBY South Dakota to empower others. With this in mind we have selected the following points of impact for future programming:
To Provide 10 Additional Scholarships for our Ambassadors
It has always been HOBY South Dakota’s goal to keep our costs as low a possible to make this learning opportunity available to as many Ambassadors as possible! We are proud to help create more opportunity for South Dakota’s youth to experience our OUTSTANDING Seminar!
To Provide 400 Meals for our Ambassadors
We believe that one of the keys to learning and growing is plenty of nutritious food. We are proud to help feed HOBY South Dakota!
To Provide 2 Scholarships for our Ambassadors to Attend WLC
The HOBY World Leadership Congress (WLC) Is a week long HOBY Seminar that brings together hundreds of domestic and international HOBY Ambassadors. We look forward to helping our Ambassadors access this opportunity!
To Provide 2 HOBY Shirts to Each Seminar Staff Member/Ambassador
The matching HOBY Seminar shirts have been called fashionable and iconic, but they also provide a sense of belonging to our Ambassadors, and help our seminar be safe and efficient! We are proud to help HOBY South Dakota in this way!
To Provide 100 Meals for our Seminar Staff
Our staff is 100% volunteer based and without them HOBY South Dakota would just be a few dozen totes in a basement in Sioux Falls. Over our 40 years , hundreds of volunteers have inspired our Ambassadors to be the leaders our state needs, and we are so proud to help support our current staff in this way!

Every year, more than 4,000 men and women throughout the country commit their time, energy and talents to planning and executing HOBY’s programs. Volunteers make a significant impact on the lives of HOBY participants, while also having an opportunity to reevaluate their own life goals and objectives, share their experiences, and have fun!
